Sugartown

About Filey

Originally a fishing village Filey was developed as a seaside resort in the 19th century.

It's elegant charm gives a timeless feel which keeps generation after generation coming back to introduce their own family to the attraction of the simple pleasure of one of Britain's finest holiday destinations.

Two Responses

When you tell friends that you are visiting Filey you are bound to get one of two responses:-
From people who've never been here, "Where is it? I've never been there. What's it like?"
From those who have visited the town, "Oooh, I love Filey."
To visit Filey for a family holiday is to begin a lifelong love affair with the town.

Accommodation

The town's accommodation ranges from campsites and caravan parks, through self catering holiday homes and places for Bed & Breakfast through to several hotels including the boutique Downcliffe House Hotel with sea views.
