Scarborough
Britains first seaside resort was created in Scarborough in Victorian England. The town remains the entertainment centre of the Yorkshire coast. Its' unique Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round is the venue for every premiere of its' artistic director, Alan Ayckbourn's, work.
The town also hosts the annual Cricket Festival, whilst during the summer season Peasholm Park holds a twice weekly scale model Naval display.
Most popular for every Yorkshireman is the magnificent winter display created as the sea crashes against the Marine Drive wall. This is both spectacular and free.
With its two bays and centrepiece of a Norman castle Scarborough remains as one of the countries favourite places to visit.
